purchased this as a much needed upgrade from my previous chair. Full disclaimer, this is my first gaming chair so I don't really have anything to compare it with.TLDR: Overall a decent chair and ok for the price point. if the seat was more comfortable from the start then I would give higher rating. otherwise, i feel like it might be a long journey to break it in before it becomes comfortable.I purchased the black one which is a fabric material and looks different from some of the other colors which look like they have a 'suede-ish' material. the material on the black one is ok, not great but not bad. It by no means makes it less comfortable, it should hold up in the long run.comfort: overall okish, I do feel like its a bit stiff at first like other reviews mention however after using it for a few days (roughly 8+ hours p/day) it have noticed it has become slightly less stiff. I'm hoping that it just gets more comfortable the more I use it. It might take a while to fully break in. not squeaky compared to what other people are mentioning.a few minor things that I did not like:I feel like it has a limited range in height compared to other chairs as well as the adjustable arms. At its highest, I still feel like it's a bit low (I'm 5'7). I have an adjustable standing desk and had to lower it to about 28.5 inches and raise the armrest to the highest setting so that my hands/arms are roughly at the same level as the desk while using the armrest. Not that big of a deal since I can adjust the height of my desk but for others it may be a bit low depending on the height of your desk.when I work/study I like to sit upright. The description of the chair says It can be adjusted to 90 degrees. when I put my chair at a 90-degree angle the backrest seems to fall back a bit to the point where it look/feels as if I have the backrest leaning back a bit, probably around 100-degree angle. Not sure if its just a faulty backrest but even locking it in place doesn't seem to keep it at the 90-degree angle.lumbar massage is ehh, I dont feel like it should be called that since it doesn't really massage, if anything it's just a slight vibration. Also, It can only be used when plugged in, there is no switch to turn it on/off. the cable that it comes with is also not very long so If you plan on using it then you will need an outlet nearby.footrest: i am not sure how long the footrest should extend since this is my first gaming chair and first chair that has a foot rest. I am not very tall (5'7) and the edge of the foot rest goes to about the end of my calves.lumbar support and cervical pillow: both are actually pretty comfortable, more comfortable than the seat. working as intended. I have no issues adjusting the cervical pillow for my height.overall its a decent chair, not great but not bad. If the seat were more comfortable I would rate higher. Not only is the price good but it has a full back for taller people. The foot rest is Super convenient. The vibrating back is very comfortable and very supportive for those of us with bad backs. After three back surgeries and a fusion this is gotta be the most comfortable chair I’ve been able to sit in. So much so that I have replaced every desk chair with this chair in my home office.I'm not sure what some of these other reviews are talking about. I ordered this specific chair because I loved the color that could go with anything and it had 4.5 stars. After it shipped I looked deeper at some of the reviews and got worried because people were saying you couldn't use it if you were tall or that the seat was very hard or that the chair was flimsy...Well I must have received an entirely different product than anyone else because my chair is the perfect size for me and my height. It is very sturdy and comfortable, especially with the fully reclining back. The seat has a good 2 inches of cushion that I will say when I first sat down seemed a little rigid, but I sat on it for like 10 minutes and now everytime I sit on it it has full cushion softness and I could sit in the chair for 8+ hours with no problem at all.TLDR; I am glad I didn't listen to the few bad reviews and gave the chair an honest shot because it is fantastic and I am very excited to continue using it.My first impressions about this product wasn't very favorable, but after 6 months of using it my mind and experience have changed.I work in front of my computer more than 8hours/day, and I also often sleep on this chair--so let's say I use this chair around 15hours/day. I'm 200lbs with a bad back that requires PT, and I often sit at an awkward position. After 6 months of using this chair I begun to realize it's virtues and advantages over other chairs. First of all, the quality of its materials is top ranked. It still looks and feels brand new after 6 months of use, and it's cushions is the same as new. The fabric is warm even in cold temperatures, and no freeze jolt on bare skin that's experienced with synthetic leathers. The cushion is still like brand new, it's firm but I use a memory-foam chair topper for comfort and spine support. The build of this chair is very sturdy, though I had to contact the seller for a replacement part when it wore down. The seller, btw, was very attentive and worked immediately to resolve the issue at no extra cost. The build of the chair is similar to a racing car chair design--form fitting, sturdy, and firm. At first I didn't liked it, but after 6 months of use I begin to find it very comfortable.I feel confident when I put my full weight on the chair with my legs curled up under me, and rocks back and forth. When I recline the chair when I want to sleep in it, I never have to worry if the chair would tip over. In fact it never tipped over on me, eventhough I've been through many position and put it to the limit. The balance is well designed, and I do believe that it's engineers did physics calculations for optimal balance in every angle.Though it's true that the chair could slip away when leaning forward, but that's only on hard floor when it's wheels could freely roll away. I've put furniture sliders under the wheels, cause it's much more convenient sliding the chair into position--rather than repositioning the chair over and over again because it keep rolling away.Overall, I really like this chair and it's compact design is perfect in our small room. The material and build quality is superior, as well as the comfort level. I no longer also missed my old chair.Previous Review:I look at other chairs with jealousy and look back on this chair with disappointment. If you're 5'4 and taller, you will hate this chair. It's very cramped and uncomfortable, and I keep sliding off the chair when I try to relax on it.I've also developed a back pain, from mid to upper part of my back. Which could only be resolved from getting off this chair and lying on my back.I work at home and spend a lot of time on this chair (approx 6 to 9 hour/day). I enjoyed my work before I ended up with this chair. Now I dread sitting on it even for just an hour.I gave my old chair to my dad, and everytime I see it I look at it filled with nostalgia and longing... ironically my old chair is also a Dowinx, the older version.Great price, comfortable, looks good. only complaint is that the foot rest came bent and had some rust on the metal part, but the rest of the chair came in perfect. I was able to bend the foot rest back to normal luckily. Would recommend ?
