My office chairs have round metal corners on both the seat and back uprights. As a result, there are now holes in the fabric at these stress points, but I'd actually purchase these again since I've had them now for 6 months and they've worn incredibly well in all other ways and look so much better than the chairs do without them. The protruding chrome corners may even be perceived as part of the design!
